Dilworth Artisan Station Holiday Open House

There is a great old building in Charlotte's historic South End district where an amazing cluster of artists and designers enjoy studios with high ceilings, wood floors, easy access to light rail, and an infectious creative community. I have been fortunate to spend a lot of time hanging out at Dilworth Artisan Station over the last 5ish years, with many clients in the building.

This year if the third (maybe 4th?) that I have helped the residents promote an annual Holiday Open House.  It is always a great party, a great opportunity to nose into the studios of some fabulous Charlotte artists, and a good art-buying opportunity.

Open House Invitation: Dryden Design Build

To celebrate a newly-renovated home with an existing client and her friends, and to show it off to ours, Dryden Design Build is hosting an Open House at the home of a client that is sporting nearly 2000 additional square footage in her charming Chantilly house. 

DDB designer Michelle Sutton and contractor Chris Dryden transformed Heather's 1000ish sq ft bungalow into three stories of wondeful spaces. without sacrificing the old Chantilly personality.

The front-side image features a photo of a model-accurate birdhouse built as a gift for the homeowner by artisan and DDB handyman Paul Dryden.  He used construction plans and intimate details of finishes to create this life-like replica of Heather's house.  The cake in the foreground was sourced from the kitchen counter of the homeowner, a lucky leftover from a recent cake-eating celebration. 

 

3 French Hens: Retail Marketing Postcards

Southpark-area gift shop, 3 French Hens hosts annual open house events during the holidays and in the spring at their anniversary.  To promote these events, the store sends several thousand coupon postcards to their preferred mailing list and targeted consumers in the area.   They are consistent in their design from one Open House to another, and from year to year, as well as in their newspaper advertising.  This approach is efficient, but also helps make their brand more recognizeable to their potential customers.
