Christine Dryden

fine art

After more than a decade as graphic designer focused on marketing the work of artists, galleries, and other creatives, Christine began painting in 2018, studying with several local teachers before embracing an enthusiastic daily home studio practice during 2020.

In May 2021, she joined the artists of StudioWorks Artist Collective in Charlotte’s historic Dilworth Neighborhood (open by appointment and during South End Gallery Crawls) and began selling work at retail locations in Charlotte.

In Charlotte, she has also exhibited at the 2022 SHOUT Festival, Cotswold Marketplace, and Christ Church Gallery. Regional shows have included Glave Kocen (Richmond, VA), FridayArtsProject Art Party (Rock Hill, SC), Florence Thomas (West Jefferson, NC), Camino Bakery (Winston-Salem, NC), and Avance Care (Raleigh, NC).

Christine’s art is featured on two utility box public art projects in Charlotte’s South End and Plaza Midwood neighborhoods, and she is co-curator of Charlotte's Free Little Art Gallery.

In 2023, she was selected for Wild Acres Artist Residency in Little Switzerland, NC, and for an ASC Creative Mecklenburg Grant to fund a travel workshop.
