Athletes United For Youth: 2008 Celebrity Sizzle Invitation

Athletes United for Youth, the non-profit organization of Jay Bilas, Steve Smith and Dell Curry, provides free after-school care and summer programs, computer learning centers, mentoring and substance abuse prevention programs for over 400 children in Charlotte's most at-risk, under-served communities.

Bilas called on us to design an upscale, yet cost-efficient invitation for their annual fund raising dinner at Ruth's Chris Steak House.  The tea-length invitation was produced using affordable full-color digital offset printing to allow nice reproductions of their photos and to fit in their stock #10 envelopes.  Included with the invitation was a 2-sided reply card and reply envelope.

Group Art Show Postcard: Wendy Bilas, Christina Dowdy, Jenny Fuller

Charlotte artists Wendy Bilas, Christina Dowdy and Jenny Fuller asked me to create a postcard to promote a group show they hosted during the holidays.  The biggest challenge with including multiple artists in one piece is to select and arrange the work of all artists in a harmonious, complementary way.  Often the styles and palates of the artist differ, as does their vision of the finished product.   Here, we were able to find a color scheme and simple layout that evenly highlighted the work of all three artists.
