Website & Branding: Pharmacy In Your Kitchen

Registered Pharmacist, Cancer Survivor, and Plant-Based Nutritional Consultant Cheryl Hoover recently launched a new nutritional consulting business, Pharmacy In Your Kitchen, to offer inspiration and strategies for eating to prevent and fight disease.

It was a pleasure to work with Cheryl to create a new logo and website for this venture. On her website and social media channels, she shares drool-worthy meal ideas and science-based nutritional advice to encourage us to help us learn to eat the way our bodies were designed to be nourished.

Website & Branding: StudioWorks Gallery

StudioWorks-Sign.jpg

Accomplished oil painter (and longtime client) Christina Dowdy enlisted me to help her launch a new artist collective and gallery this summer. StudioWorks is a group of 12 local professional artists, lead by Christina, that now inhabit a beautiful, old building in Charlotte’s historic Dilworth Neighborhood. They celebrated their Grand Opening this past weekend with a great crowd of enthusiastic supporters and collectors.

I helped with naming, branding, website, signage, and marketing materials.

Website: The Artful Arranger

Janet Miller of The Artful Arranger is warm, reassuring, and talented — the perfect partner to help an overwhelmed homeowner with a decluttering and organizing project, or to help manage a move. We recently completed a new, easy-scroll website for her professional organizing business, where she has relayed her beautiful style and generous personality.

Website: Multiple Blessings by Caroline Simas

Caroline Simas and I go way back — about 14 years, to when we were both designing stationery — and it has been a special pleasure to reconnect with her to create a new website for her art licensing business, Multiple Blessings. She has had some terrific websites in the past, but Caroline was feeling the need for a fresh start, and a simpler, mobile-friendly site that was easier to maintain.

It is a special pleasure to be a part of a strong campaign team for an especially strong candidate. Susan Harden is an smart educator, gifted in collaboration and communication, and an excellent prospect for our community's leadership.

I worked with her team to refine campaign branding and develop a campaign website.

New Website: Wendy Bilas

We've just launched this fresh, new website for artist Wendy Bilas. Built on the Squarespace platform, Wendy's site has been updated with a clean, modern styling and has been designed so that she can easily maintain content herself.

It is a pleasure to work with an artist this talented, business-savvy, and tech-competent.

Website Refresh: Morris and Moffit, Inc.

The online world evolves quickly and every few years a refresh is needed to take advantage of new features and update styling to modern sensibilities. I recently worked with Morris and Moffitt, a restoration and renovation contractor, to refresh the site we created for them in 2013.

We updated page layouts, added new content, redesigned header, and added a new slideshow to homepage. The company has enjoyed a lot of growth since they began (and launched initial website), and we were able to efficiently update their old site to reflect that growth.

Website Redesign: Sozo Gallery

I am so proud of the good work that friend and client Hannah Blanton has done at Sozo Gallery. We created a brand and small website when Hannah opened Sozo in 2013, and after much growth, it was time to refresh the website with a new, mobile-friendly design that made room for additional image galleries.

Sozo Gallery's homepage features a slideshow of their new, favorite works.

Hannah is a consummate philanthropist and community organizer, and we share some of those projects on a "Community" page, as well as a gallery of press clippings.

A new Artists page provides an intuitive way to browse the gallery's twenty artists.

A lot of the work in putting together a new website is in the tedious organization of images and content details. Many thanks to new Gallery Manager Sara Frances Koontz for her diligent and precise management of the site's implementation.

New Website: Lauren Jones Worth

Lauren Jones Worth is an artist from Greensboro, NC, who creates stunningly detailed mixed media works. I designed a site for Lauren several years ago using Squarespace and have redesigned it this spring with an updated template that allows her for flexibility for showcasing her new line of pillows and glass-topped tables. See Lauren's new site here.
